China Power Petrochemical Corp. (hereinafter CPPEC), which is authorized as a state holding enterprise, was established on May 17th, 2006 with registered capital of RMB 50,000,000. Main business includes processing and international trade of petroleum and chemical products.
Main shareholder of CPPEC is Zhongneng Power Industry Fuel Company. This company is the fuel management institution of national power department. It was reformed as a sole subsidiary of National Power Company in 1997. It directs power fuel management supply, monitors implementation of power fuel policy and team construction under national macro-control, authorizes and organizes annual power coal order and fuel quarter connected work.
CPPEC is a professional enterprise that implements related management and market function of Zhongneng Power Industry Fuel Company. It organizes power fuel enterprises to exert power system advantage, operate intensively, and takes charge of fuel organization and coordination of 30 provincial level power companies and 470 fossil-fuel plants. CPPEC has the ability of organizing and managing 1,100,000,000 ton coal and 7,000,000 ton fuel annually, taking charge of dispatching of fossil-fuel plant and ensuring fuel supply task in holiday, flood season and winter. It also harmonizes related affairs between coal, railway, communication and national comprehensive departments on behalf of national power company and power industry; provides two-way service for coal, petrochemical, railway and communication enterprises; plays a bridge role between government and enterprise; makes effort for the collaborative development of coal, electricity, oil and transportation.
